Story

All On Board began with a simple idea: every child deserves the chance to experience the freedom of the mountains.

For founder Christian Burns, snowboarding was more than just a sport—it was a place of self-expression, confidence, and connection with nature. Growing up in a family where philanthropy was a way of life, Christian carried those values forward and combined them with his passion for snowboarding to create something meaningful for the next generation.

In 2018, he launched All On Board with the dream of giving under-resourced youth in Phoenix the same life-changing opportunity he once felt standing at the top of a snow-covered mountain. The first trip to Arizona Snowbowl took place in 2019, and what started as a small project quickly grew into a movement of community, volunteers, and supporters who believed in the vision.

By 2021, All On Board became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, dedicated to empowering kids through skiing and snowboarding. Today, the organization continues to inspire leadership, teamwork, and courage—bringing snow to the desert and turning what once felt impossible into a reality
